An early-morning fire ripped through a Miami Gardens home on Wednesday, killing two people, according to police.
Around 3:35 a.m., 15 fire rescue units responded to the blaze near the 2000 block of Northwest 185th Terrace, said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
Miami Gardens police say a person inside the house awoke to the sound of an explosion and discovered the fire. He called 911 after failing to find his aunt and uncle.
Two people were found dead inside the house, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue confirmed. Police did not release the name of the victims.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
